Central Government denies Motril further specialist doctors |

More than 20,000 signatures were collected in a petition organised by the Municipal Council for the Disabled together with 27 associations. However, it seems that the ‘Junta’ believes that people requiring specialists in Neurology, Nephrology, Endocrinology and Rheumatology, should be subject to long waiting queues.
Motril Mayor Rojas pushes for more
As the mayor pointed out, it’s not just Motríl that relies heavily on the local health services, but now more than 500,000 people fall within a radius that encompasses the Costa Tropical and the Alpujarras. In response, Socialist representative Rosa Isabel Ríos pointed out that it would be impossible to provide specialists in every Andalusian municipality.
