What a difference a day makes - well a whole twenty degrees centigrade, in fact! Barometers went berserk as locals and visitors recognised the first real signs of a cold snap, which has made itself felt throughout Europe. The great thing about the cold when it hits Granada province and the Costa Tropical, though, is that you're never too far away from sunny skies. We've experienced the first of the chill winter winds, so children could be gearing up for some teeth chattering over Halloween and it might not just be because of the spooky bits...!
Great news for skiiers
This sudden cold front has meant a second dump in the Sierra Nevada, so things are gearing up nicely for the season. And with just over an hour from the Costa Tropical, the Sol y Mar ski resort and a fun day out is an easy 80 minutes away from thawing out in the warmer climes of Almuñécar, Salobreña and Motríl.
